Editorial Standards

NIYO & CO’s editorial recommendations are independent. This page explains how we work, what commercial relationships may exist in the future, and how we handle corrections.

Independence

Our assessments of products, ingredients and brands are made independently of any commercial relationship. We are not currently part of any affiliate program — see our Affiliate Disclosure for the current state and how this will work once affiliate partnerships launch.

Affiliate relationships don’t change the price you pay

When affiliate links do go live on this site, following one and making a purchase may generate a commission for NIYO & CO at no additional cost to you. Commission potential never determines whether we recommend something, or how positively we write about it.

Sponsored content will be labeled

If NIYO & CO ever publishes sponsored or paid content, it will be clearly labeled as such, distinct from independent editorial coverage, in line with standard advertising-disclosure practice.

Third-party trademarks

References to brand names, product names and trademarks throughout this site are for editorial and informational purposes only. All trademarks belong to their respective owners, and mentioning a brand does not imply any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement unless explicitly stated.

How we assess products

Where we discuss specific products, we evaluate them against stated, explainable criteria relevant to the category — formulation logic, ingredient transparency, disclosed specifications, and general, well-understood cosmetic science — rather than unverifiable first-person testing claims. We do not fabricate statistics, studies, or quotes.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error in our coverage, please tell us via our Contact page. We review correction requests and update published articles when a factual error is confirmed.
